Stock Set-ups For Next Week and Other Fun Stuff. Feb. 7th

Flashback Friday

Flashback Friday

  • We had a little fake out this morning after the horrid jobs report. Today felt a little like 2013 didn’t it? Nice to have a little flashback Friday.
  • I guess Ichan is going to be a hero again, AAPL.
  • I am sick to my stomach for not buying options on PCLN this morning even though it was my plan. No, seriously; I’m nauseous for not buying the calls that went from $.0.14 to $15.00.
  • I think LNKD is going to be back in play very soon and TWTR is going to be chased again, but not to the same degree as the first time.

  • Lot’s of great set-ups across the board. Instead of running through the list that everyone is looking at, I figure I will give you set-ups I like that aren’t on everyone’s watch list.
  • First here is a quick update on the stocks I posted last week (which you can see here):
    • HSP – still in it and held in great throughout the pullback.
    • AWAY – still love it. Has been consolidating very well.
    • ALGN – pulled back to it’s base on lower volume. I still like it.
    • CYBX – if you watch the tape intraday you see some big buys going through…something is brewing.
    • BAC  – I sold it for a double (obviously options). I still like it, but wanted to make room for other things.
    • C – I stopped out Monday for a loss.
    • AOL – Jumped great after earnings and I missed getting out. Had a decent recovery after downgrades today and the huge option call trades are still there so if the #WiseGuys are staying, so am I.
    • ESRX – I entered it late last week and think it still looks amazing and has much more upside left.
  • Here are some great looking set-ups for next week. Remember I like to swing these (unless I get a huge pop right away) so if you have a one week time horizon these may not be for you. If the market starts to substantially pull-back again and the end of the week was a bull trap then these are on hold. Also, please check earnings if you are going to enter any of these.

YY: I am already in this position, but it’s just getting started. It also just got an upgrade by Deutsche Bank with a price target from $55 to $81. Screen Shot 2014-02-07 at 4.09.37 PM

PRLB: Getting very close to breaking out. Screen Shot 2014-02-07 at 4.11.19 PM

Z: I picked this as the chart of the day yesterday and it already started moving; however, I think the bigger move is yet to come. Screen Shot 2014-02-07 at 4.13.55 PM

HIMX: Very nice consolidation and check out the volume on up days. Screen Shot 2014-02-07 at 4.14.49 PM

GRPN: Just getting started. Screen Shot 2014-02-07 at 4.15.52 PM

SYK: I already have a position here, but if you don’t mind getting in near the highs the next leg is coming. Screen Shot 2014-02-07 at 4.17.36 PM

SPWR: I am a big fan of solars this year. Nice higher low bottoming candle this week. Oh and after the bell Musk reported a 23.1% stake in SCTY (another solar name).Screen Shot 2014-02-07 at 4.18.27 PM

REGN: This one is not for the faint of heart because it has very large swings, but great set-up in the bio industry.Screen Shot 2014-02-07 at 4.20.25 PM

Stay tuned this weekend for some open interest updates for you momentum junkies…..
